The Beauty of Simplicity

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the most beautiful and simplistic reality known to man.  It is man that muddies the waters of the Gospel.  It is man that distorts the simplicity and beauty of it all.

Jesus accuses the religious leaders in his day of the very same thing, they took their own laws and heaped them on top of God’s law.  They muddied the waters and made it even more confusing for every person.  In the same way, we have many proclaimed Christians who have done nothing to help the advancement of the Gospel, but instead have muddied the waters and made it more difficult for someone to follow Jesus.

We forget that Jesus did not come to start a religion, He also did not come to bring confusion.  He in fact came to love and bridge the chasm between His Father and You.  Sin tore us from perfect fellowship with the Father, because God is Holy, no darkness or sin may dwell in His presence.  And so Jesus came to pay that ultimate price for both you and me.

That is the beauty of the simplicity of the Gospel.  The Good News of Jesus Christ really is simple!

Simple not Easy

If anyone comes to you claiming that Christianity is easy, they have not followed Jesus for very long, if at all.  It may be one of the hardest things you experience in life, regardless, God has promised His Spirit to not shield and protect you through the storms of life, but rather comfort and guide through the storms.    There will be times He calms the storm, and other times He will take your hand and lead you through it.

His ways are mysteriously perfect.

Perfected Provision

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life–whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?

Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? “And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are.

And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?

“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. – Mat 6:25-34 NLT

Yoflower 2u see, it is very simple following Jesus…but it is not easy.  If we can lay hold of and grasp the truth behind this scripture, that our Father in Heaven really knows our needs, and our lives are more valuable than the lilies of the field and the birds of the air…

Saying yes to Jesus, can and will be the best decision you could ever make in your life!

It is more than worth it!  To be filled with Joy that cannot be contained!  To be given a strength to endure all the storms of life! To experience the Greatest Love the Human heart could ever know!

Choose Jesus and embrace the simplicity of who He is and what it means to Follow Him!
