Silence Is.

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”  ― Dietrich Bonhoeffer

Dietrich Bonhoeffer stood in the face of one of the greatest evils, Hitler and the Third Reich Church.  He was a leader in the resistance, to keep the Gospel of Jesus as the focus in the churches in Germany, not the Gospel of Nazis.  He lived with such conviction that it lost him his life, he was executed in a concentration camp only days before it was liberated.  He was engaged and set to get married.  His fiance knew what kind of man he was, and understood that it would likely get him and her both killed.

To be silent when evil is afar off, you are guilty.  When evil is at your front door and you do nothing, you are guilty.

I want to encourage you to get this book and read it!  May it provoke you to live a life of full abandonment to the Gospel of Jesus!
