In the American-Christian world, we focus on a ‘conversion’ to the faith. We focus on being ‘born again’. But so many times we treat it as if that is the ending point.
Did Jesus really go through all that suffering and die on a cross just to get someone to convert to Christianity or simply to just become born again? I believe this notion is preposterous!
Being born again is being born of the Spirit!
5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. … 8 “The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” – Jhn 3:5-6, 8 NKJV
There is a Freshness! There is a Newness when born of the Spirit! Just like the wind blows!
Those who are truly born of the Spirit should not live a life of staleness. Staleness usually is a red flag to an area of our lives out of step with God. When we have areas out of step, out of sync with Him, we are not as sensitive to His voice. When we are not as sensitive to His voice than we miss out on things.
Being born again, being born of the Spirit is all about a relationship with the Most High God! Its all about a relationship with the Christ Man Jesus!
Christianity. Born Again. It is not all about that first step of accepting Jesus death and forgiveness for your sins. Friends, the Cross is simply a door to be walked through to a Life born of the Spirit!
